Health Care
In collaboration with Visiting Nursing Association of Greater Rhode Island, an on-site Health Clinic has been established with the Center. Health lectures and specialized health screenings are held frequently for the general public. The Health Clinic provides established patient services such as:
- Health Screen
- Health Consultant Services
- Geriatric Assessments
- Primary Care
- Nutrition Evaluations
- Home Visits if Necessary
All Health Care services are available to you if you are 65 years or older, and are covered by insurance or are a private pay patient. Health Consultant Services and Nutritional Evaluations are FREE and open to ALL AGES.
A Nutritional Evaluation is recommended if you wish to regulate weight or if you are concerned about a specific health problem such as diabetes.
General screening for diabetes, cholesterol, glaucoma and other health conditions are offered free of charge periodically.
Services are provided by Visiting Nursing Association of Greater Rhode Island along. For the Medical Schedule at the Center visit the Monthly Newsletter. Referrals are taken from physicians and other social service agencies. Now offering living well focus groups. Please contact 272-7474 for more information.
