Program Overview

Explore the details

The Ticket to Work program is a voluntary program provided by Social Security. It is designed to assist individuals between the ages of 18-64 who are currently receiving Social Security Disability or Supplemental Security Income and are interested in entering or re-entering the workforce. Participants will receive support as they work towards financial independence. If you progress towards your employment goal, Social Security will not reassess your disability status. Additionally, you can maintain access to cash benefits and Medicare/Medicaid health care coverage as you transition to full-time work. If you find that you can no longer work due to your disability, you may be eligible to resume receiving benefits.

Program Highlights

The Ticket to Work program at the DaVinci Center for Community Progress is designed to empower individuals with disabilities through a comprehensive array of services and support.

Participants will benefit from various employment readiness workshops covering resume building, job search strategies, and interview skills. They will also receive vocational training in healthcare and information technology, along with certifications to enhance their employability. Job placement assistance and career counseling will be provided to help individuals secure meaningful employment, while ongoing case management will ensure personalized support throughout their journey. Financial literacy workshops and access to supportive services such as transportation and childcare resources will further equip participants for success. Peer support groups will foster community and encouragement, and partnerships with disability service organizations will enrich the program’s impact. The program will celebrate milestones to underscore achievements, promoting participants’ independence, financial stability, and career advancement.
